1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government role. We do not store official records, retrieve files, conduct an official check, or submit documents on a user's behalf.

Its purpose is to identify the custodians of Marquette County criminal records, including the sheriff, Wisconsin Circuit Court, Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Information Bureau, and Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry, and to offer links to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of use, you agree not to:

• Use site information to threaten, stalk, or harass a person
• Violate any applicable federal, Wisconsin, or local law
• Rely on site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
• Use bots, scraping software, or other automated collection tools
• Attempt unauthorized access to the site or its systems
• Interfere with performance or another person's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Site content and linked information may not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may also violate the law. Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry information is provided for public safety under Wis. Stat. § 301.45. It does not authorize confrontation, vigilantism, or adverse decisions based on prohibited uses.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create background checks, credit files, or consumer reports. The site and its advertising partners are not intended for evaluating applicants, renters, insurance risks, or creditworthiness. You may not use site or linked-tool data to:

• Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
• Evaluate a renter or housing application
• Make a hiring or termination decision
• Determine eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
• Carry out any other action covered by the FCRA

For a legally permitted check connected to one of those purposes, use an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider and follow all governing law.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing published here is legal advice. General information about Marquette County records cannot determine how a warrant, charge, conviction, or Wisconsin expungement rule applies to a specific case. Seek advice from a Wisconsin-licensed attorney.

6. No Warranties

All site material is offered "as is." We make no guarantee that:

• Partner search results will be complete or correct

Marquette County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Copying, distributing, adapting, or building on that material requires prior written permission.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for damage arising from use of the site, its content, or a linked service, including reliance on any result.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against a claim, action, or demand caused by your site use or violation of these terms, including related legal expenses.

11. Governing Law

Wisconsin law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court located in Wisconsin. Wisconsin public-record access to government offices is governed principally by Wis. Stat. §§ 19.31-19.39, while DOJ criminal-identification functions are addressed in Wis. Stat. §§ 165.83-165.84.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A new version becomes effective when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may suspend or end access at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, all other provisions remain effective. The affected language will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.
